Work included the complete removal of the existing natural grass playing surface and the installation of new synthetic turf along with improvements to associated infrastructure, adjustments and changes to the track and field features, and localized synthetic track surfacing. The project included grading, drainage, paving, electrical, irrigation, structural (footings), synthetic turf, and synthetic track surfacing. The two (2) high schools were procured as a single project and work commenced in mid-May and was completed by the middle of September at both school sites. The budget was approximately $4 million.
