World Champion Green Bay Packers Use Football Fields Built by FIELDS

While the Green Bay Packers were celebrating their Super Bowl XLV victory last night, Brian F. Storm was celebrating right along with them. Storm’s company, Atlanta-based FIELDS has worked closely with the Packers organization over the past several years on numerous large-scale field renovation projects. FIELDS took on the total reconstruction of Lambeau Field in 2007 and rebuilt the Packers’ training facility field and complex, Nitschke Field, in 2009.

“We’re proud to say that the World Champion Green Bay Packers train, practice and compete on football fields built by our company,” added Storm. “We are incredibly pleased to have played a role in the creation of high-quality playing surfaces for their organization.”

In 2007, FIELDS performed a complete renovation of Lambeau Field. The playing surface of the field was lowered, new irrigation and drainage systems were installed and a state-of-the-art hydronic heating system was added to maintain a constant temperature, even in the brutal Wisconsin winter. Lambeau Field was later named 2009 Field of the Year for professional football by the Sports Turf Managers Association.

On August 1, 2009, the Packers unveiled FIELDS’ major renovations to their Nitschke Field practice facility. The improved complex offered a natural grass field with underground heating, improved lighting, bleacher seating for 1500 fans and an 800-foot decorative brick wall that mirrored Lambeau Field.
