FIELDS Completes Multi-year Project for the Kansas City Chiefs

FIELDS has recently completed a project for the Kansas City Chiefs, including a rebuild of Arrowhead Field as well as the installation of a heating system, which will enable the team to play at their highest level, even when Missouri weather is at its coldest.

The Chiefs have been experiencing great success on the field, most recently as the 2016 AFC West Champions, which has forced the team to play later into the season. Kansas City can experience some extreme weather conditions, so they’ve had a problem with parts of their field freezing.

“Based on our experience, we were chosen to work with the Chiefs not only to rebuild their game field but also to install hydronic heating so they wouldn’t have issues with any kind of freezing on the field,“ says Brian Storm, President & CEO of Sports Fields, Inc.

The synergy between the newly installed field and the talented turf managers has created a playing surface that quarterback Alex Smith has said is the best field he’s played on in Kansas City, and that he can feel the difference.

Storm continues, “We thoroughly enjoyed working with Brandon Hamilton and his staff, as well as the entire Chiefs organization.”
