Construction has officially started at Sports Force Parks on the Mississippi in Vicksburg, MS. The park held a ceremonial groundbreaking on June 19 with many members of the community in attendance, including Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs, Jr., Miss Mississippi 2017 Anne Elizabeth Buys, and former Vicksburg resident and Tennessee Titans player Malcolm Butler. Opening in Spring 2019, the park will host youth sports tournaments including baseball, softball and football on its eight synthetic turf fields, including one ADA accessible field where the park will host programming for kids with disabilities.

The tournament schedule for Sports Force Parks on the Mississippi will be released in September. Keep up with the park’s progress on its Construction Cam here, and go to sfpvicksburg.com for all the latest updates.
